A self-ordering kiosk that runs on the Square account you already have
No new POS, no second menu to maintain, no re-keying orders. ORDRX reads your Square catalog and writes real Square orders back.
Most kiosk software asks you to rebuild your menu inside it and reconcile two systems afterwards. ORDRX does not. It connects to your Square account, reads the catalog you already maintain, and sends every kiosk order back into Square as a normal order paid on a Square Terminal.
That one decision is what makes it quick to set up and quiet to run: there is only ever one menu, and it is the one in Square.
What comes across from Square
Connecting Square imports your catalog as it stands — items, categories, prices, and the modifier lists attached to them. Nothing is retyped.
- Items, categories and prices, kept in sync as you change them in Square.
- Sold-out state, both ways. Mark something sold out in Square and it greys out on every kiosk within about a minute. Mark it back and it returns just as fast.
- Location pricing. If an item costs more at one location, the kiosk at that location charges that price.
- Modifiers, including which are required and how many a customer may choose.
What goes back to Square
A kiosk order is a real Square order. It carries the items the customer chose, the modifiers on each, and the payment taken on the Square Terminal paired to that kiosk.
- Sales appear in your Square reporting alongside counter sales.
- Payouts are unchanged — the money moves through Square as it always did.
- Each line names the Square catalog item it came from, so item-level reporting and kitchen ticket routing work the way Square expects.
- Orders show in the Square Orders tab and on Square KDS, because each carries a pickup fulfilment.
What you need
- A Square account with your menu in it.
- An Android tablet per kiosk, in a stand at the counter. Most venues use one they already own. iPad support is coming.
- A Square Terminal per kiosk for card payments. If you already take payments on Terminal, you have this.
- A receipt printer, optional — ORDRX prints dockets over USB, Bluetooth or the network.
What ORDRX adds on top
Square gives you the catalog and the payments. ORDRX gives you the things a kiosk needs that a POS does not have a place for: upsells and combos, a public-holiday surcharge you can switch on for the day, per-kiosk menus, a customisable receipt, and kitchen display screens for the staff making the food.

Q. Does ORDRX replace my Square POS?
No. Your Square account stays exactly as it is — ORDRX is another way for orders to reach it. Staff keep ringing up sales on the register, and kiosk orders land in the same place.
Q. Where do kiosk sales show up?
In Square, like any other sale. Your reporting, payouts, item library and tax settings do not change, because ORDRX creates real Square orders and takes payment through Square Terminal.
Q. What happens if I change a price in Square?
It changes on the kiosk. The menu syncs from your Square catalog, so items, categories, prices and sold-out state all follow Square rather than being maintained twice.
Q. Do I need a separate merchant account?
No. Payments run through the Square Terminal already paired to your venue, at your normal Square rates. ORDRX never handles card details.
